Il Mediterraneo abbraccia un territorio di forte continuità territoriale e ambientale, le stesse ondate di calore che stanno investendo l’Italia, stanno affliggendo i nostri fratelli e sorelle a Gaza. Fra le tende e quello che resta delle abitazioni, le temperature nelle ore di punta a Gaza City possono arrivare anche a 40 gradi.
Things aren’t good, the destruction and bombing haven’t stopped. As for the Gash in Khan Younis, it’s still ongoing and the number of students is increasing, even though the weather is very hot and there are no fans and anything else. The students are still coming and taking their summer exams.
A complicare le cose si è aggiunta la crisi energetica e l’aumento delle bollette aggrava pensantemente il quadro.
Ancora Sami ci spiega che il Gash viene spesso utilizzato anche durante le ore di lavoro non solo per accedere alla connessione a internet, ma soprattutto per l’accesso alla rete elettrica:

Anche a Gaza City si avvicinano al Gash nuovi studenti, complice il passaparola, sarebbe utile poter disporre di un sistema di energia solare e ammortizzare i costi delle bollette. Speriamo che i costi dei pannelli solari possano scendere nelle prossime settimane, sempre che Israele li lasci entrare. Vi terremo aggiornati.
